AIMSMoorend Group

The project aims to address the promotion of life-long learning with voluntary and community groups servicing disadvantaged and excluded groups in inner city Leeds.

The project works to achieve these aims by creating learning opportunities for women within their own groups and communities.

ACTIVITIESJeene Ki Raaha

A range of learning activities and approaches are used to ensure that the learning experiences are presented in non-threatening ways, offering women maximum support and guidance, being sensitive towards language and culture and maintaining  confidentiality. The service is provided by   arranging courses, recruiting tutors, arranging childcare, transport, venues and refreshments.

TARGET GROUPS

The project clearly targets women experiencing muProject Launchltiple disadvantages ie. women experiencing violence, mental health/physical difficulties, Asian women carers, older Sikh women, Bangladeshi women as well as Travellers, asylum seekers and refugees.
